2010-2013
Building Fund
Appeal

WE ARE NEARLY FINISHED WITH PHASE II!

Background:

Zoar has a long history in our location; the current building was dedicated in 1928. It has served us well but requires more and more attention as time goes on.  Our needs have outgrown it and the design is not accessible to everyone. Most importantly, our ministry is hampered by the limitations of the facility. These factors made the decision to build a new structure imperative so we began a three-phase building construction program.

Phase I:

Groundbreaking for the new Phase I structure was in October, 2003, and it was dedicated on Rally Sunday in September, 2005. The last payment was made in April of 2010. Then began the process of raising funds for Phase II.

Phase II:

Information packets for the Appeal were given out in December, 2010. However, just in case you did not receive one or it became lost in the holiday shuffle, you can access a pdf copy of it from this link. For the Promise Card, click here for side 1 to enter your promise information and here for side 2 to see the theme hymn.

So far:

To update you on the first Promises turned in for the Appeal:

Promise Cards returned: 72
Initial gifts, 3-yr. promises, and unpledged giving: $378,783

This is a wonderful start. In October, 2011, we held a Promise Renewal Sunday. You responded generously once again. Following is the tally of Renewal Sunday:

Promise Cards returned: 82
Initial gifts and new/increased 3-yr. promises: $98,832

Besides these gifts, others who were not comfortable pledging are also giving and some who did pledge and have completed their pledge continue to give generously. Thank you to everyone who is helping us reach our goal for the new building. Each Promise and each gift is important, whether it be one of time, talent, or treasure, for we truly are in Fellowship Together in Christ!
