Welcome to Zoar Lutheran Church!

Zoar seeks to follow Jesus's example of inclusion by welcoming and affirming all, including all whom the world attempts to separate, divide, or isolate. We are committed to fostering social justice and racial equality.

The Zoar community is committed to the ongoing work of welcoming all ages, races and ethnicities, physical and mental abilities, marital, economic and legal statuses, sexual orientations, gender identities and gender expressions, as well as all theological perspectives.

We invite you to join us in worship, community, fellowship, and ministry - all aspects of congregational life and leadership.

May you find Zoar to be your "little place of refuge." You are welcome here!

Zoar Lutheran Church is a fully ADA compliant facility - no steps or stairs! Lots of handicapped and close in parking for those who have difficulty walking.

We offer assistive listening for all our worship services.

Holy Communion offers gluten and alcohol-free options.

Community Dinner

Zoar Lutheran Church holds a free Community Dinner every Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the lobby. Over 5,550 meals are served each year to people of all ages who meet to enjoy a free meal (contributions accepted) and socializing throughout the year.

A very loyal group of church members and members of the Canby Kiwanis Club prepare and serve the food, with both teams cleaning up.
We appreciate all these wonderful volunteers!

Donations to this ministry are always welcome!

Community Partnerships

As a congregation, we have meaningful partnerships with local organizations that support members of the LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and other marginalized communities.

Current Partners include Canby Pride,  Puentes Entre Culturas (Bridging Cultures), Canby Kiwanis, and Groupo La Proxima Frontera (Spanish Language Alcoholics Anonymous).
